Hirsch Berlinski was born in Lodz. A delegate of the left-wing Poale Zion movement to the Jewish Fighting Organization, he took part in the fighting during the 1943 Ghetto Uprising, and succeeded in fleeing the Ghetto through the sewers. He was killed during the Warsaw Insurrection of 1944. His memoirs were posthumously published in Israël after the War.
